Embungs have a significant social impact, especially in strengthening relations between communities, especially farmers. They are involved in cooperation activities, helping each other, and working together with other farmers. In Nunggi Village, Wera District, this cooperation activity is known as "Ngguda" which means planting. From an economic perspective, embungs provide a positive impact by creating extensive employment and business opportunities for the community, increasing income, and accelerating infrastructure development, such as the construction of access roads to the embung location.
